I just ordered a set of 215/55 17" Blizzak WS60 snow and ice tires for my X. Live in a hilly part of iowa so I figured be safer than 40 feet down the side of a hill in the ditch.

Blizzack's on G35x

I put Blizzack snows on my 2004 G35x that my son was using at college in Rochester NY. The thing was the most stable passenger car in the snow that I had ever seen. They're not cheap but if you want or really need maximum performance in snow and Ice they're great.

you need to remember that with awd and all seasons you can take off faster and probably turn better, but you will not stop any better which is the most important thing and the reason you should put snow tires on an awd car if you live in a place that gets a large amount of snow. if you live in NJ, NYC, LI or south of here, for example, snow tires on a g35x would probably be overkill, but in upstate ny, vermont, canada or w/e you should probably get some snows.

slight thread jack here, but, what I am wondering is how my g would do with a set of 245/45-17 blizzacks, obviously I would better off with something more narrow, but my bro happens to have a set of them, 2 have 3000 miles and 2 have never been used from his 04 GTO which he is selling and I just happen to have a set of Kosei 17x8 +35 5x114.3 wheels left over from my rsx which would be perfect for them, but im just worried that even with blizzacks being as awesome as I hear, 245 is going to be too wide

Even though they are wide, I feel that they would be better than allseasons just cause they are winter tires. Make use of those rims!
