Flipping Michelin ps2 tires?

Hello,

My rear tires are wearing unevenly and i was wondering if you can flip the tires. I won't be able to get new tires until next week, and the inner wear is pretty bad. Is it alright if i flipped them and use for a week or so (maybe two weeks)

thanks

You might want to worry more about what is causing such aggressive wear on your tires. As for flipping them, as long as you see the rotation arrow going the correct direction, you are fine.

I don't think a week is going to make much difference, is it? Unless you have a crazy-long trip or commute. If this is the typical camber wear, flipping them without dismounting won't help you anyway, you'll have to dismount and remount, definitely not worth it for a week IMO.

Thanks for the reply guys. My friend who work at a tire place will flip them for me. so it wouldn't cost me anything. Dismount, and remount. R to L and L to R.

as for camber. The rest of the tires have about 50% while the inner only have like 10-20%. i don't drive crazy, around 70mph and commute about 40 miles round trip a day.

all cars have a bit of camber wear, most of the wear actually comes from the TOE though.

anyhow, is your car on stock suspension? if so think about an alignment.

if it's lowered it could be lowered too much, you might need a camber kit, or an alignment, it should help with the camber wear.

i think acceptable camber is what -1 to -1.2?

and flipping will help as long as you dismount and remount.

you cant flip PS2's i already looked into it .. they are side specific, and if your staggered, then they are corner specific .. looked into it already when i was thinking about getting some PS2's, i run around -2.5* of camber so i like to flip mine in between and realzied you cant do that with PS2's

The tread design is asymmetrical so there is an outside and inside to the tire. You can rotate them, but no matter what side of the car they end up on the inside will always be the inside. I'd check your alignment and pressures to make sure all is in spec.

Tires are designed and manufactured for <-0.5 degrees of negative static camber.
