alignment results from 350Z Suspension on Sedan

hey guys. for those of you who are interested, i just got my wheels aligned at Big-O-Tires. this is three weeks after the installation of the 04 350Z suspension on my sedan:

<font color=red>Left Front:</font color=red>
Camber: Min: -0.83 Nominal -0.08 Max. 0.67 <font color=blue>Actual: -1.0</font color=blue>
Caster: Min: 7.00 Nominal: 7.75 Max: 8.50 <font color=blue>Actual: 8.4</font color=blue>
Toe: Min: 0.00 Nominal .50 Max: 1.00 <font color=blue>Actual: 0.5</font color=blue>

<font color=red>Right Front:</font color=red>
Camber: Min -0.83 Nominal: -0.08 Max: 0.67<font color=blue>Actual: -0.9</font color=blue>
<font color=black>Caster: Min: 7.00 Nominal: 7.75 Max: 8.50</font color=black> <font color=blue>Actual: 8.30<font color=blue>
<font color=black>Toe: Min: 0.00 Nominal: 0.50 Max: 1.00</font color=black> <font color=blue>Actual: 0.6</font color=blue>

<font color=red>Left Rear:</font color=red>
<font color=black>Camber: Min: -1.08 Nominal: -0.58 Max: -0.08</font color=black> <font color=blue>Actual: -1.8</font color=blue>
<font color=black>Toe: Min: 0.00 Nominal: 1.35 Max: 2.70</font color=black> <font color=blue>Actual: 1.1</font color=blue>

<font color=red>Right Rear:</font color=red>
<font color=black>Camber: Min: -1.08 Nominal: -0.58 Max: -0.08</font color=black> <font color=blue>Actual: -1.6</font color=blue>
<font color=black>Toe: Min: 0.00 Nominal: 1.35 Max: 2.70</font color=black> <font color=blue>Actual: 2.1</font color=blue>

<font color=black> was able to get everything into factory specs but not the front and rear camber. the camber in rear is more off than the fronts. the rears however are not more than a single degree off so, it's reasonably acceptable. i dont think i'll get any excessive tire wear, or noticable that is. i'll post pics of the gaps of the wheel wells if anyone wants me to. thanks!</font color=black>

Re: alignment results from 350Z Suspension on Sedan

Nice, thanks for the results. I will be putting on an '03 350Z suspension pretty soon. Glad to know I can get the alignment back into shape. Everything looks good and a little negative camber is actually better for turns. I don't think you will have any problems with tire wear at all. Did you have them align according to the G35 Sedan specs or the 350Z specs? Might be a dumb question but I got to ask.

Re: alignment results from 350Z Suspension on Seda

Remember alignment specs are MISALIGNMENT numbers created so that things are correct under the load of moving at highway speed..........Negative camber is set so that the tire remains close to neutral [no camber] under turning loads.

Aggressive turning always allows the tires to go positive, why more than oem negative camber always helps in turning.
OEM numbers are a compromise between wearing the inside edges and peak G from tire.

0.5 degrees of camber is a significant change! As is a static negative of more than 1.0 degrees especially in front where Caster adds negative consequences.
