I didn't see much with a search, so:

My 05 OB sedan came with the 07/08 17 inch wheels (car purchased off-lease from the manufacturer, I guess the previous owner curbed it, and those were the wheels they had handy). The car is my daily driver, but I want to upgrade it to be track capable on weekends.

I've been looking at going to an 18 inch wheel to accommodate bigger brakes for the track. Specifically, I've been looking at the ASA JH9--I really like the look of the wheels.

Today, I came across a package deal for the JH9 19 inch with Yokohama Advan S.4 tires at a really reasonable price. The tire size is 245/45/19, and Tirerack shows a +45 offset for the wheels. My question is this: Will they fit, and does anyone have a picture of a similar setup? I've looked for a few hours, and can't find pics of anything like it.

The tire seems a bit tall, 245/40-19 would be better. What car did they come off of?

I actually have these wheels on my DG coupe. I really do like the style alot, but if you are looking for a performance wheel for the track...you may want to look elsewhere. Its a pretty heavy wheel, mine handle good for daily driving though.

The 45 height tires just happen to be what is included in the package deal I found. Do you think they would work, or would I absolutely need 40 height to avoid rubbing? I was looking for the 18 inch version, I only mention the 19 because of the package price. I would be looking for a shorter tire as soon as the included ones start wearing, anyway.

Not sure what car they came off of, but the bolt pattern was 5x114.

Parker6: Any chance you get take a picture of your car with these wheels on there? I know it won't look like my sedan, but the 'View these on your car' option at Tirerack--which is certainly handy--doesn't let me get a look at them installed from any angle but 90 degrees.

Overall diameter difference is an inch which will throw off speedo and might rub over bumps/steering. The JH9s we carr are 19x8 45mm offset so sounds similar to what you're looking at.

Arkady,

Here are the pics of them on my coupe...be forwarned: I posted these up in the wheels section and got a lot of unfavorable comments. I still like them, but they are not the highest brand or nicest wheels you can get. I got them becuase I like the style and they werent too pricey.

What do you think about them though?

Parker, I appreciate the pictures--that's exactly what I was looking for
I'm not concerned about feedback here on the site, unless people tell me that the wheels are going to crack after six months. I really like the style. If another company makes that same style, I'll check them out.

Neal: Thanks for the feedback. I was looking at the 18x8 version on your site, and I'm pretty sure that's what I'll end up buying. The package deal I found doesn't do me any good if the tires won't play well on my car. Is the JH9 a wheel you guys sell well? Or is there another similar style wheel I should look at?

Yeah, no problem...I still really like them. They may not be as popular on the forums as Work or Volks, but with wheels if I like them, it doesnt matter if a few people say they dislike them. I get compliments on them all the time and I feel they look even better in person.

So far, had no chips, cracks, or breaks in them...so they seem pretty solid. Again, they are relatively heavy for cars like ours. That doesnt bother me though, I go for looks over speed.

It's really personal preference when it comes to wheels. I've seen them in person and it's a nice looking piece. ASA has been with us for long time and use to be owned by BBS. Quality is good and they have a positive track record with us. Call me if interested.
