Tire size questions? Would this work?

I would like to know would this tire setup work. If I keep my stock 17 GoodYear GS-D tire step up in the front but for rear I go with GoodYear Eagle F1 GS-D3 size 225/55-17 on the back? Would that cause any traction, stabability or alignment problems? Thank you.

Re: Tire size questions? Would this work?

try it and find out. others have staggered already. worst comes to worst, you end up buying two more GS-D3's

but it should work based on research i did previously. as a matter of fact, once my 225/55 GS-D3's wear out, I am going to replace two of them with the 225/50 size to start with. I want to go 225/50 all the way around but i still have good tread left on two of my tires.

BTW, with extremely hard driving and lots of power oversteer turns, my GS-D3's are going to last ~20k miles with even wear
