Running Falken 452s..rears wear out every 4500k!

Hey guys, I'm having issues with rear tire wear on my car. I'm running Falkens 452s and my rear tires (whole width) wear out approx, every 4500k miles. I used to be able to run these same tires for about 15-20k miles!

Last year, I lowered my car with TEIN Htechs and did the upper spring mount "cut" mod. I was having road clearance issues so I put the factory oem springs back without replacing the upper mounts. 2k miles later, the rear tires were just about shredded (tires were just about brand new at the time of spring install). I then replaced both wheel bearings and installed new shocks and new upper spring mounts along with getting the car aligned. The car now has factory suspension components. When I do a 3-4 hour constant drive about 300 miles or so, I see a little bit of black powder on the rear tires. The black powder seems to be from the rear tires. The rear tires are NOT rubbing against anything. So now the same tires that used to last me 15-20k miles in the rear are now barely lasting me 5k miles. The tires are wearing out in the middle primarily.

The only thing I can think of that could be causing this is maybe I installed the OEM springs backwards. The OEM springs have a red mark on them and I have them installed so they are towards the top.
I have run out of ideas and I'm going to try rotating the rear springs so the red mark is towards the bottom.

If anyone has any suggestions or advice, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanx for reading!

What are your camber and toe specs?
What is your ride height ? (compared to stock)
Are you running OEM wheels?

Do you have a camber/toe kit for the front or rear?

What pressure are you running on the tires?

Pressure in all tires are 38 and have been like that since day 1.
Alignment has been done to factory specs..I do not have the exact numbers.
I'm running factory OEM 19s.
Ride height is the same as factory.

but when was that alignment performed? before or after the tein install? if you did it after you had your teins installed, then went back to stock without readjusting you alignment then thats your problem. Anytime you change ride height, you need to get an alignment. from what I recall I dont think there is specific orientation the rear spings have to go other than vertical of course.

fyi next time you make a post about tire wear, please indicate if its inner, outer or just the whole width as those can all indicate different types of alignment issues...sounds to me you are clearly having an alignment issue.

Alignment was performed after the suspension was returned to stock.

Your toe must be way out of spec

completely agree
if it's the entire width of the tire wearing out it's your TOE

there's a misconception that camber does more wearing, it's actually toe.

^ though I am dropped and have negative camber anywhere from 2-3, my toe completely ate through my T1R's in a matter of months
