low tire pressure light blinking.?

i just installed my GFG's and have put about 200 miles on them. today all of a sudden, the low tire pressure light was blinking. When i arrived home i checked the pressure and it was fine. What could this be? were the indicators in the stock wheels? I already tried turning the car back on and it just flashes a bunch of times and then stays lit.

i'm guessing they didn't transfer the tpms into the new wheels.

Yes--the indicators were in the stock wheels. $200 a piece valve stems.

Yes-'just' swap them to the new ones. MUST use a rebuild kit. MUST know what you're doing. Or take it to a shop & have them do it for about $100. If you want instructions, know kinda what you're doing, if you just need a LITTLE help, lemme know & I'll have hubby get on & type out instructions for you.

i dont know if there is a way to shut it off. but i think replacing the sensors to the new wheels will be beneficial, especially running 20's with low pro-tires. Laurabell, could you be so kind as to help me along with that process. Maybe your husband can write a step by step. This will will be helpful to the forum. also whats a rebuild kit? expensive?

If the sensors are in the factory wheels with the tires on you will not be able to do it yourself. Find a Discount Tire store by you, reason why i say Discount is because I work there and they have the proper tools to swap them (rebuild kit and the torquing tools for the valve stem and the lock nut). They will also reset the sensors for you (if you need it).

i called my buddies shop that put the tires on. he may not know but, he said that in order to fit the factory pressure sensors on my wheels, i have to drill in the barrel... i find that highly unlikely. he said the reason was because the valve stems are 90 degrees aluminum, and come through the spokes. is this bologna?
