2004 G coupe, will these wheels fit?

I'm looking at used HP design evo wheels...they're pretty cheap but they're the color I want so I'm interested. Anyway the guy who's selling them has a G sedan, the specs are 18x8, +38 offset. Will they fit? He's including spacers with the wheels/tires. Do I need them? My car is stock height.

Help me if you can, I'm not good at wheel-talk.

Matt

your going to need at least 20mm spacers to make them look ok....id pass on them the offsets are too high, theyre higher than stock offsets. i would also look for a staggered setup

your 04 6MT has brembos, correct? You'll need to do a test fit to see if it'll clear those. You could ask the seller if they know if it clears BBK.

Although the offset doesn't really tell you if it clears certain brake calipers, the OEM 18x8 has already a weak offset of 30mm. Going 38mm with the same size 18x8 would look even worst, not unless you need it for a beater or winter wheels. Then you'll just need to verify brake clearance.

I need to figure out if they will clear, his car doesn't have Brembos so I don't know if he'll know. They come with 30mm spacers. Again, I don't know my stuff with wheels...I just want to know if they'll fit. They would be on my car for spring and summer, maybe about 6 months.

30mm spacers?? Those are some really thick spacers. Those should be thick enough to make any wheels clear most BBK.

I would verify those spacers as well since I don't hear too many people using 30mm spacers....mostly 20-25mm at the most that I've seen around here in the forums.

Those are weak as hell, you can certainly make them work with spacers and suspension work to get the correct stance, but I'd take a pass and wait to buy wheels that fit your car.

Okay...so they will clear the brakes then. With 30mm spacers are the wheels going to stick out? Once again, engines are my thing I know close to nothing about wheels, offsets, spacers, etc. So I really could use all of your help on this.

I like the color, and I'm fine with 18" wheels. They're 8.5 all-around, they're not staggered but I'll get over it. I just want these wheels to look pretty normal and not stick out. They're not incredibly wide. Help.

No, the seller would be shipping them...he lives pretty far from me. I don't mind them being flush as long as it's not too much.

What if I was to use 20mm spacers? The offset would be +18...sounds a little better.

But would they clear BBK?

it will look like crap with a 20mm spacer...once again those offsets a really high, like what a lot of people said "pass on them". it seems like your set on getting them. if you do get them you should get a 25mm or 30mm spacer to make them look ok. even then i dont think they will look good being only 8.5 in the rear.

most people run 9.5 to 11 in the rear.
