I have an '05 X with awful tires. The back two are almost completely bald and the front two are just crappy in bad weather.

Living in Colorado, I need to find some good tires for bad weather fast. I'm getting All-Seasons so please don't recommend any snow tires (I know those would be better but I've been fine with All-Seasons in the past). Any suggestions?? Thanks!

 

Well, all-seasons will never perform like snow tires, so if you are looking for something that will carve through snow, you'll be disappointed. Most all-seasons are capable, but not confident int he snow.

From what I've read, Hakkapaliitta's (sp?) are about the best. Lots here run Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60s, too (I do).

I use Good Year Eagles... cheap and decent... but im sure there are better ones..

 

I used Kumho for my all season, and they sucked really bad in the snow, so I upgraded some 19s for summer with BFG G force, and just ordered some blizzak for my 17s for the winter, I drive up major snowy canyons every day for work, so I have to have the good ones, I almost died from the Kumhos!!

 

eh jersey roads get cleaned pretty quick so i dont need any winter tires, nor do i need crazy good seasonals

 

I have had Yokohama Avid V4S's for 2 years now and I like them in the snow.

 

Look up Goodyear Triple Tread Assurance tires. One of the local guys is running these on his 03 RWD sedan and his works great in the snow!

 

We put a set of Sumitomo HTR + on my wife's car from TireRack. Have about 6k on them and have been very happy. Great price too.

 

I'd only consider tires in this category. If the op wants to run all seasons all year, he needs tires that are up to the capability of the G's handling/speed along with good foul weather grip.

 

Not the best idea to replace just two as that can cause a misbalance of handling. For what's available in the 215 size.... I'd look at the B-Stone G019 Grid, Conti Extreme Contact DWS, and Dunlop Sport Signature. Many have had great luck with the Grid and Signature. The Dunlops rank a tad higher overall, but you can't go wrong with either.

 

I have these. Sidewall alittle soft since they are not a high performance a/s but they work for me when it snowed here. I am sure this is not as bad as some states but here is a pic of when we had a nice snow storm last year.
