Finally settled on a wheel and tire setup

I'm getting these wheels

MB Weapon
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/whe...89506&pc=53650

And these tires, which I'm on the fence about. but I haven't heard any real bad things about them, so....

Riken Raptor ZR

In a package Deal from DTD for like $1250 or something. Fronts are 225/45-18 and rears are 245/45-18 on a coupe. Best thing is, my credit is good enough to qualify for 12 months no interest. So I can sell my wheels and use my tax return to pay em off, woooooot

I'm confused...the link you are showing is the MB weapon not the Battle. This is the MB Battle

What size did you settle on and was this for a coupe or a sedan again? As for the tires, I wouldnt go expecting much from them in terms of long lasting quality.

Well I just got done searching through your post to see what you had and now I remember your situation. If you're really sold on the MB battles do this: First get them in the 18x9.5+15 offsets all around and then put on some 265/40/18 tires (BFGoodrich G-force KDW would be a good option). They're all available

Sorry, edited my post. I am pretty sold on the Weapons. I dont like how the battles spokes came all the way out to the edge of the rim. And 265s all around also? I wanna stick with staggered fitment

I dont get it, what stagger size do you plan on getting? Are you just spending extra money to get OEM sized wheels and run staggered tires like OEM? Waste of money in my opinion and I think most people would agree.

Also the Weapons are only available in the following sizes and none of them are ideal for the G35 coupe:
18X8 5-114.3 30
18X9 5-114.3 38
18X9 5-114.3 45

If you plan to just run same size as OEM, I would just paint them the color you want and save your money for something else. The weapons do not look as good as OEM and their spokes will stick out past the rim which looks bad.

Just trying to help.

Here are some pictures, note that the Weapons do not have an offset dependant face, it stays the same no matter the offset or width.

This first one actually has the weapons and the battles:

They dont look that bad, but they only really come in good nissan sizes in the 17's.

Well then, I guess you'll be happy that for some reason DTD credit line says I need a damn co-signer to get financed. I financed my car at 6.69% and I can't finance $1500? Lol. ANYWAYS, what would you suggest from DTD that I should get? I'm also going to go with the G-Force TAs.

Drawing on credit to buy wheels is an insanely bad idea from a financial perspective.

DTD actually has a layaway service. So I can drive on the wheels I got all winter, while paying on these other ones, and then buy em with my tax return and selling the ones I got. But other than that, I dont have much coice than credit.

ASA

Or thiose Snettertons up top or maybe these

Modding cars are insanely bad ideas as well...but we do it anyways. Get it on credit if you want...it makes no big difference. Just make sure you can afford the payments.

I could easily afford it. And they're doing a 12 month no interest deal, which I would easily have it paid off before then. I just gotta find something I like and that I won't regret.

I can't help you pick wheels, you're choices are all over the place, I have no clue what sizes you want and what style of fit you want. All I know is you want something for around $1500 including tires. That being the case, if i were to pick a wheel for you from Discount Tires it would probably be the MB Battle in the sizes I suggested (4@18x9.5+15 with 265/40 tires) when I thought that was the set you were planning on getting originally.

Tirerack doesnt have anything that fits well on the G35 in your price range.

In my opinion save up some loot (open a savings account or something) and add that to what you get back from taxes and then pay cash for a set of used wheels (maybe even with tires) from the forum. You'll find a better selection and wont have to worry about payments or interest. There's no reason to rush the purchase. I also think if you could spend $1500 on wheels alone you would have some better options and then another $600 or so on some nice tires that will fit your needs.

I love these, I actually wanted them, but I think they weigh like 12,000 lbs apiece. So instead I kept my Ray's and PC'd them, until I can afford some Volks.

Anywho, good luck OP.
