Winter tires recommendation?

so we were just hit with a snow storm this past weekend, and my sedan drove horrible in the snow/salt/sand/ice. It is probably because I am still on stock tires with about 50k miles, so I have decided to throw a good set of winters tires on before i put myself/others in danger.

anyone purchased from tires-easy.com before? good/bad? I don't think tirerack offer the Blizzak WS-60 at 225/55/17.

from tires-easy 225/55/17
-Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60 $553 shipped
-Nokian WR G2 for $666 shipped

from tirerack 225/55/17
-Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D $600 shipped

i am on a tight budget, so the Nokian is probably my last option. so what you all expert think? any other brand recommendation?

I have a 2004 G35 Coupe with original 17" wheels (coupe has a staggered setup), so I went with Blizzaks WS-60 225/55 R17 on the rears and 215/55 R17 on the fronts. I believe I read somewhere on this forum that someone with a sedan went with 215/55 R17 all around and everything is fine, plus the slightly narrower tires help out in the snow as well. I paid $119 a piece for the WS-60 225/55 R17 from Tirerack.com and a little less for the 215/55's. I also bought a set of winter tires for my other vehicle and shipping for all 8 tires was $105 from Tirerack. The WS-60's feel a little softer, but they are great in snow. My coupe was practically unusable last winter, but now it drives fine in the Chicago snow. I really like the WS-60.

Been very happy for the last 5 winters with Dunlop SP Winter Sports. Decent snow/ice traction and excellent dry handling for a snow tire when the snow is cleared, and equally excellent wet traction and handling when the temp goes above freezing.

There are Continental ExtremeContact DWS (Ultra High Performance All-Season) on Tire Rack that are inexpensive.
