Video: Driving the G in the snow today.

I recorded the video below on the way home from work today.

My car is a 2004 G35 Coupe.

I almost held off on buying snow tires for the car because driving in the snow on stock tires is a complete nightmare.

I ended up getting a used set of Dunlop SP Winter Sport M3's. This is the second year using them and they were barely legal when I got them. Even though the tires have a crappy tread on them, the G does just fine in the snow.

If anyone is holding back on buying snow tires thinking that the G will not be a good car in the snow, I say go for it, it is definitely worth it. If my G handles this well in the snow on ****ty snow tires, it must be like a tractor with a new pair.

I should add for those that noticed the VDC light coming on. It is only from a stop and if I did not want it to go off, I would just have to lighten up on the gas. I find that you don't really need to worry about losing control with the VDC on, so if you choose to give it a little gas, the car will move around a little, but the VDC works great on keeping the car straight.
