are all offsets the same?
i'm sorry if its a noob question, but i have been considering a new setup for the car and i plan on running 17s. i have looked at several offset calculator programs linked here on the site and i think i know the offsets that i want but, the reason i ask is i have a set of gt-7s on the car now, 9.5F +17 / 10.5R +24. now onto the real question, if i were (hypothetically speaking) to purchase a set of 17s from a different wheel company, same widths, same offsets, will it have the same "flushness" compared to my 19s? or is it all a matter of design of the wheel (concave, etc.)?
these are the wheels in question:

can anyone please shed me some light, thank you.

17's??? dude thats smaller than stock(well there are 17" stock wheels but you rarely see them)...too much rubber, it's gonna look way to small and weird imo, 18's is the smallest i'd go for aftermarket wheels
I'm sure the "flushness" will be the same although those offsets aren't really aggressive or "flush." Drop and tires also account to being flush. Either way, 17's on a coupe won't look good. Im not an offset guru so I hope someone else can chime in for you
and as far as the question, yes your wheel will sit exactly the same assiming all the widths and offset is the same it will just have a smaller wheel diameter.

ditto what shane said and also what tian said. same as far as the wheels go, but the look will be totally different due to the smaller size wheel and larger sidewall tires.

thanks for the help guys, i really appreciate it. as far as my decision to go 17s, i forgot to mention that i will still be keeping the 19s, i just wont be using them as much because i dont want to pay for tires for that price anymore. the 17s fat tires will be a lot cheaper to replace since my car is a daily driver. also i am already dropped in df210s, it is by no means slammed but its low enough to deter me from entering a few apartment complexexs. it will probably look like crap but hopefully my bbk can take center stage and ppl will see through the tiny wheels. thanks again for the help guys, if anyone was curious, i was thinking of doing 9.5 +22F, and 10.5 +35R, this is the first time im picking offsets for myself so if any of you have suggestions for offesets or wheel widths, id love to hear them.
19's are the most expensive tires, you can get 18 and 20" tires for alot cheaper than the 19's. You can get a set og general exclaims in 20" for ~500 for all 4 tires. You will be paying roughly the same for a set of 17". I def. recommend checkin out some 18 or 20's, and will look much nicer than some 17's

similar prices? well i cant beat that, that is the reason why im switching in the first place. i will definitely look into it. as far as the tucking issue, Grant suggested that i get my camber to -1.5 or even better so i am assuming that after the alignment, the gap between the fender and the tire shouldnt be that bad with that offset? no? again, im just beginning to play with offsets and by no means am i an expert, i do like math though and all i have are my given offsets, the camber setting, and the current distance between the fender and the tire. if there is an error in my logic or if there is an easier way of doing this, or even a link, please let me know, i'd really like to learn this stuff so im not such a nuisance to this section of the site, thanks again for all the input guys, if any of you ever get lost in orlando, round of drinks on me for sure.
You aren't gonna be a fan of camber when your tires are feathered and bald in the inside. I suggest a camber kit especially with df210s. Those springs gave me -2.6 camber in the rear. Camber also conflicts with your money saving tire dilemma so I wouldn't bank on that as far as your offset reliever seeing as it's going to eventually get very pricey. I'd research some more before making any decisions. Robzone, donpisto and shanesg are some of the people I would pm for guidance as far as offsets and rubber insight.
