Well this is a new suspension setup out that is pretty cheap and i heard pretty good things about the quality. My question is, what exactly does it do? I understand it has adjustable settings to make it softer or stiffer and i think it would lower the ride height, but is this for use with aftermarket springs or stock, or does it replace everything like a coilover set. It seems so cheap for coilovers, check it out.

I just got mine in, but haven't put them on yet. It does NOT lower the height. You could use it with stock or aftermarket springs. I'll be running it with my RSR 350Z springs. The rebound and compression are adjusted simultaneously with each setting. There are 8 different settings (1 with each revolution of the adjustment screw), although, you can make half revolutions to dial in more precise settings, hence, it is "16-way" adjustable.

I'm getting mine in today. I ordered mine from ebay 499 shipped. I ordered 350z h techs from Hopup racing last week and informed them of the d specs, which they did'nt even know existed. So if you order them, just know that they probibly don't have any in stock at the moment. The ebay route was fast and painless. I will post a full review and pics when I get them.

As for your question....YES and NO. It can with the right set of springs prove to be better than some lower end coilovers but IMO cant compete with a 1500 dollar set and will not offer the height adjustability. But if you only have 700 then you can get these and springs and you will be buying a quality setup.

Honestly, I got to say that I am not too impressed with Hopupracing. The day I ordered my d specs on ebay (which I got today) I also ordered the H techs from hopup because I thought that I would get better service from a business with an actual phone number. Well ordered them last Thursday, called and verified order and that they had them in stock the next day and they said they would ship on Monday......Monday, no email with a tracking number. Tuesday I call and they say they are getting the teins (which they already had said was in stock) on Wednesday and will ship the same day......well they didn't. It is now Thursday night, a week later, and I have just gotten a tracking number (because I called them AGAIN) which isn't in the UPS system yet....So basically they JUST shipped. It kind of pisses me off that I was lied to when I called them a week ago to verify my order was in stock, and that they gave me the runaround in the 3 or 4 times I called them. By the way they also did not return my email either.

Hopup will NOT be getting my business again unless they get proactive and do something to make it right. I'm not going to ask...they have already wasted enough of my time. They should have offered to upgrade my shipping or give me a discount for me having to wait as long as I did and them not being upfront about their stock. It was very important to me to get them before this weekend. Now I will be lucky to get them before next weekend. I am not much of a penny pincher and would have been more than happy to pay a little higher price at a place that would have given me good customer service. All I can do now is keep everyone informed of HOPUPRACINGs business ethics.

Feel free to pass this info to Steve at Hopup if you would like. Maybe he can learn from it because I guarantee you some who reads this will shop else ware.

On a lighter note, I will post a full report on my new setup next weekend.

Well i only deal with him and he answers my ims online whenever i send him 1, he is alwasy shippign things to me very quick, witht he best prices around also, sorry for your bad experience. Im going to be running D-Specs soon and want a firmer than stock ride, but not
jarring firm. What setting should I use front/rear on a lowered coupe? start me out,
please. Thanks.

(currently running front S-techs and rear Prokit)
