Nitrogen is optiomal for filling your tires. It is a dry gas and I believe resists heat expansion a little better than air. Mostly it is beneficial beacuse of how dry it is. Helium on the other hand is pointless to use lol. Also helium is one of the smallest molecules of gas so the chances of it staying in your tires is not that great. I have a nitrogen tank in the Garage for filling tires.....

I also heard that since air has more moisture, when the tires heat up, it causes water to vaporate which will make the tires expand. I guess nitrogen has less of it.
