brembo on sedan

cuz i can get the stock brembo caliper set in hk, but what else do i need to fit it onto the sedan?

all i need is a matching piece of rotor and brake lines?

do we need to change the brackets as well?

cuz i found out those stock brembos for the G35/350Z are the excact same as the ones found on STi and Evolution. basically i'll just be buying the calipers and mounting them on to my sedan with aftermarket rotors and lines

i was wondering what else i need to mount brembo on my sedan other then those that i mention.

Re: brembo on sedan

Are you getting stock G35/350Z brembo calipers or stock Sti/Evolution calipers. They are all Lotus calipers, but they are NOT the same.

Assuming that you are getting G35/350z brembos, all you need is rotors, pads, maybe lines, and something to cut the dust shields with in the rear. Oh yeah, you also need the bolts for the rear calipers.

Re: brembo on sedan

i'm planning to get the calipers from Evo 7

how different is the Evo calipers? they look no different from the ones used on G35. so i assume they can fit the G35, but i'll need to get matching rotors.

anymore info on the stock STi or Evo calipers? i can also get my hands on some R34 GTR Brembos which should also be the same kinda. but since u said they are different in some ways, i'll need to do more research

Re: brembo on sedan

I would take a closer look. Just going by external appearance can be deceiving. Again, they are all Lotus calipers, but for example, the Evo 8 front calipers have the external brake fluid line, while the G35 brembos have the brake fluid routed internally.

What is different is the mounting bolt distance. It is 10 cm on the front G35 calipers. I think it's about 12.5 cm on the Evo 8 calipers, not sure about Evo 7.

The R34 brembos I think are the same as the G35/350z. The rotors have a different offset though. Again, your best bet is to measure the actual mounting bolt distance. If it's not 10 cm, you're going to have a very hard time getting these things on.

There was another forum member who was trying to get Evo Brembos on his G35, I don't know what became of his project.
