On my friends Z with TE37 time attacks 10.5 inch wheel 19 inch diameter his 275/40 has a very slight stretch.

Guys, I don't care what your standards are when it comes to stretching weather its obvious or barely noticeable but when the outter tread pattern of the tire is NOT the most outer part while driving then your tire is stretching. Period. Just because its not insanely stretching like you see in some pics it dosen't mean its not a stretch. When discount tire and other wheel shops don't want to mount a tire like that on a rim width like that then you know somethings up.
I will show pics of my setup soon, clearly stretching.

Try some high speed cornering like I do with a stretch on a measly 225/235 and come back here.. Tell me how it went, by high speed I'm talking 85+ in decent bends and about 40 in tight turns.

well the standard is obviously subjective but the point here is trying to figure out WHY ur setup was wobbly and people who have MORE stretch don't experience this

Isn't it try that when your running streached tires your also lowering the car? and when your lowering the car you will be giving it more neg. camber? at least i was told by the shop that is setting my s**t up that it would handel better cause of the neg. camber. When you go into a turn there will be more contact patch. i'm not tryin to be a smartass just tryin to understand. Now i know this is about streached tire but doesn't all that play a factor in this?

well with the camber and stretched tires you actually have LESS contact patch thus the reason why drift cars opt for this setup, you can loose control a hell of a lot easier
