I was wondering when peolpe who own Blizzak's actually put them on their car. I might be buying a set as part of my winter setup. I was just curious if the Blizzak has any issue with being used in a warm climate (Xtra tire wear) or if the tempature is the determining factor. Thx for the help on this one.

I am not a blizzak owner yet but they are best not to be used during warm tempature.
I read people here in North Jersey put them on after Thanksgiving 'till the end of next February or mid March and that's what I intend to do when I get my set. Only if I can find some 17 x 8 with +35 offset,ummm, too much info.

In MD peeps usually put'em on in early Dec (typically the first significant snowfall) and take'em off in early March.

Once the temperature drops under 40 degrees. If I am going on long road trips during the winter and I know the weather forecast doesn't call for snow or rain, I put my pilot sports back on for the trip, then put the blizzaks on once I get home again.

Kind of like selecting the shoes you are going to wear each day............the tread compound should be appropriate to the expected and actual road temperature range.

Wish they would change the name of "All Season" to spring and fall tires to properly reflect their function and temperature compatibilty range.

i'm gonna wait til the temps drop and there is a forecast for snow. my G didn't go anywhere in .5" snow last year!
