Got Stillen Sway bars

Got Stillen Sway bars
Okay so I got my sway bars (on their way) and some other goodies as well. I also ordered two new rear back tires. I want to know what you guys think the best setup is? I know they are adjustable. I'm going to have to make up for some understeer in the front but I don't want my back to swing out too much. I also got Tein H-Tech springs. What settings do you guys think should I use on the sway bars? Ride quality does not concern me at all. I'm more interested in performance.

I also got the Stillen sways. I went Stiff/Stiff as I don't know
how to determine what is the best. So just how do you
determine the optimum settings?
03 5AT Sedan, sunroof, splashguards, HKS muffler,
14 wire Grounding kit, Z Duct, Stillen HF/AB
Underbody rear diffusers, Drilled alum pedals,
Stillen sway bars H/H

Re: Got Stillen Sway bars
No idea... it just seems like Medium / Stiff is the best setup for me judging on how my new rear tires will grip alot better than the front with the understeer issues I want a softer front. Since the stiffer setting in the rear will do a better job (theoridically) of keeping my tires flat on the road I will get a more even wear and better traction on first and second gear (Since the rear tires don't turn).
I think... hehe

Re: Got Stillen Sway bars
With the stock springs and tires, I tried Medium front, Stiff Rear, and found the rear wanted to step out so much, the VDC was working way too often. Medium/Medium worked great. Part of the beauty of adjustable bars is that they can compensate for differences in spings and wheel/tire combos. Several people have posted that the Tein springs shift the handling balance to understeer, so your conclusion makes perfect sense.

Re: Got Stillen Sway bars
Try the softest front setting and medium rear.
Most cars come with an overagrressive front bar [to insure the understeer process] that tends to wash out front tires earlier than necessary.
Remember sway bars work by reducing tire traction at the end where they are stiffest............since rear has more than front [without power applied] .

Re: Got Stillen Sway bars
I support what Qtech is saying here, but from a position of, try mild settings first and work up to find the magic mix that is bliss. You'll know you've done it right when you can come back and say, "oh man this car is such a killer blast to drive at the limit, it's neutral, back end is perfectly behaved",......or something like that. (grin)
Keep in mind that you need to be open to the fact that you may not be the greatest assesor as to what is really going on and why. Make a fresh start here, from scratch. I would start off with the front holes set at 2, rear 3 and test, make changes as needed. In any event, if the bar specs are true, I would never consider running the front bar at full stiff or 70% stiffer then oem.

That's not correct Q45. The rear tires on our coupe usually go first. I confirmed this with Infiniti service.

Either you were naughty and gave it gas at the adheasion limit or did and don't know that you did or your rear tires are getting close to wearing out, or your alignment settings are poor.
