what size tires for gt-r 20's on a 2nd gen sedan
what size tires for gt-r 20's on a 2nd gen sedan
I'm trying to shop for tires for GT-R wheels but before i can shop tires i need to know what sizes not only fit the rim but also inside the fender in case i want to lower the car.
I don't know anything about the picture i uploaded but i would love to know what set up this person is running. I'm assuming he has lowering springs or coilovers but i'm not sure...
Also should I purchase the gt-r wheels in the staggered 9.5 and 10.5 width? or is it possible to purchase all 9.5 inch widths so all of the tires can be the same/less expensive/can be rotated?
Thanks guys!

make sure you get GTR wheels from a 2010 model as they have more aggressive offsets. You can definitely buy only fronts, but its going to be hard to find only the fronts unless you're buying them from a dealership or something. Most likely GT-R owners will sell their wheels as a set.
as for tire size.. if you can squeeze 245/35-20 in the front, and 275/30-20 in the rears, you should be good to go
you posted the factory sizes for the GT-R, which runs a taller diameter than the 2nd Gen G-Sedan.

i found a place where i can choose what size i want and because of tire price the 20x9.5 is a less expensive rim to equip.
new question: if i do get all 20x9.5 and i was going to outfit the wheels with one size tire so they can all be rotated, what size should i look for?

this should be common sense at this point) if you get all 20x9.5, obviously you want the narrower of the two tire suggestions. You'd want 245/35-20 all the way around.
As an added bonus they're much cheaper: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....=yes&tab=Specs
i'm not sure if the link worked, but there are two different tires available at TireRack for $111/tire: Dunlop SP Sport Signature (W&Y) and Dunlop Direzza DZ101. I'd take the Direzza DZ101's if these tires are never going to see snow.

haha yes it was, i'm just making sure that there isnt a more ideal size tire if it is planned to go on both front and back.
thank you for the clarification, i appreciate the much needed advice

what size spacer would i need to use in order to make the 9.5s flush in the rear? im sure there is a way to calculate the answer however im clueless how to do it

your best bet would be to put them on, and see how they look.. then measure how much further you want them to stick out. 5mm would probably fit the best.. but 7mm will probably still fit without rubbing and look even better.. anything more and you're probably pushing it.
