285/30/19...on the front wheels!

So let me just say that 285/30/19 on a 19x10+20 does rub...but just barely and only on hard compressions. I might just camber it in or do some fender rolling/pulling and maybe some liner trimming. Otherwise, there are no lock to lock interferences when I turn the wheel.

This is before, after to come later:

So here we go, 285/30/19 on 19x10+20 Forgestar F14.

I said screw it and just ordered the 285/30 and 305/30 combo. I hope to have everything on for the weekend, going to do a spring mount mod too while I am at it.

Discount Tire/UPS got screwed up, no tires in time for the weekend. Should be here this monday afternoon, leaving work early to get them mounted. Might put the wheels on today or tomorrow if I or the shop have time.

Post photos and your impressions/experience when you get them on! I'm thinking of running 275 or 285 up front, but on an 18x10 wheel.. though it'd be strictly for autox and track days.

275/30/19s on a 10.5 looked stretched on my wheels. A 285/30/19 on a 10 should look fine.

No time to get them on the car yesterday, picking them up from the shop today. If weather holds I may try to install them tonight.

I didnt see any advantage other than clearance in going with a 275/30/19, it would have been too short compared to OEM. The 285/30 is a little more closer for my justification. It should fit.

Worst case, I will have pictures of the tires/wheels sans car today.

Teaser:

This is the 19x10+20 with the 285/30/19 setup. Not going on today like I hoped because I still have some cleaning to do and it is already starting to rain.

Updated first post...pictures to follow later today when I got time. I already cheated the tax payer by working on this during my lunch break today which ran a little long obviously.

Feels good to be on a summer set up again though.

Nice, I love fat tires. Where are you getting your alignment, mounting, etc. done? I've been looking for a good place around Baltimore.

I've been getting all of my work done at GT Performance of Edgewood Maryland. They are a stones throw from 95, exit 77-A. They support a lot of race prepped Porsches and other SCCA and NASA participants so they are a little busy at the moment, but they do pretty well squeezing everyone in.

They're $20ea for mounting and balancing of tires, $100 for alignments and it is all top notch work. Unless you make an appointment and stress a quick turn around, dont expect to drop your car off and pick it up a few hours later like you might be able to at other tire shop chains.

Only complaint I have ever heard is that if you walk in there with alignment numbers of your own, they're seriously going to want to know why and might question some of the numbers. My guess is that it is just because they are so experienced with prepping cars they feel they have a better insight. I usually just tell them to make it tire friendly, but fun.

3-alignments between two cars and I've always been happy.

Nice. I shouldn't have a problem fitting 275s on 18s in the front it looks like! How low are you dropped?

I'm on 350Z Cobb springs, lower than Z H-tech's. I got lots of pictures lastnight, I just need to upload them, later today they should be up. I'll post a reference picture or two in here and then a seperate gallery thread in the picture share with lots more.

Here you go, like I said, a little bit of rub. I'm sure I could get rid of the rub if I took one or two fender liner screws out. I updated the first post two with a different picture.
