I NEED NEW TIRES~!multi-seasons
I need to replace all four of my tires on my 04G35sedanRWD.I have the sport package so the rims are 17"x7" i think, tires are 215/55R17.I need some good all around tires.I did want theBridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position(Ultra High Performance All-Season),i think thats what theyre called.Anyone have any good suggestions? i need to be able to drive decently in light snow cause i live in Chicago, noise is not that big of a deal for me,as long as the tire doesn't affect my gas mileage noticeably either. Also been looking at Michelin, but prop gonna stick to those 2 brands.one more thing i dont know if they make the potenzas in the 215/55R17 that are stock tire size, the bridgestones might start at 225/45R17,would this be a problem?what would it affect?wow this is kinda long ..THANKS ALL
heard good reviews about the pole positions and the michelin all seasons. I believe the michelins had better traction in the snow. You should pm Neal from tire rack on here. He gives great advice on tire selection.
Dont think going from a 215 to a 225 is a problem. Just a bit more rubber to the ground.
Maybe you could use this coupon if neal can give it to you.

thanks alot man,im kind of reconsidering the bridgestones now after i saw the michelin pilot sport A/Splus. the michelins seem to be better than the pole positions, but a little more expensive.does this tire size seem odd though?what do u think, Michelin Pilot Sport A/Splus P215/45/R17.?
I think the michelin is a great tire if you want to spend a bit more money. I think you being in chicago, you might benefit from the extra grip they will give you in light snow.
As far as tire size, If thats what came on the car then it should be right. It seems right for a 17x7 rim. Cant say for sure, since I have a Z
You could always go to the tirerack website and put your car info in and see what they recommend for tire sizes.
Again PM neal. I have done so for my tire questions and he always gives great advice.

For all season tires all I buy now is the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions. Great traction in all conditions and extremely quiet on the road. I have been absolutely blown away at their performance compared to the Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S tires I had before.

New choices.
Okay so i dont think im gonna get the 960potenzas anymore cause im more worried about snow/wet than dry performance and theyre just kinda too pricey. So i narrowed it down.probably gonna put 225/50"s on.
A: Continental Extreme Contact DSW($124)
B: Pirelli P zero Nero A/S ($137)
C: Yokohama AVID ENvigor H&Vrated ($132)
D: Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S ($148)but 225/45's.
E: Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ($157).
I like them all but, especially the more expensive latter two.But i have to save $$ in this economy and im looking more at ratings in snow traction cause i live in Chicago where the winters suck!!GET THIS i was driving my G with the stock Eagle GS-D's! i think theyre summer tires HAHA,ive only changed 2 of them since i bought the car in 04!!so im basically almost running drag slicks.=)thanks for the replys.

Which?the continentals? personally i dont know.Maybe youll start to notice something once theres like over 10k on them. But i just want them cause they're priced very well and they seem to do as good or better than the more expensive tires above.
Made my decision.
I think im gonna go with the Conti's DWS,such a bargain and i keep seeing good reviews. Now to decide what size to get for the 17"rims on the sport package 04Gsedan...anyone? I was thinking 235/55's or 225/55's....Thanks all for the replies.
One other thing, I don't think you want to rely on all seasons to get you though a chicago winter. Unless you on an AWD platform.
I have the Michelin a/s but I also run blizzaks when it actually snows.
