Possible to go 235/50/17's all the way around '04

Title states it all, my fronts are feeling a little frail. I'm running the g35 couple 6 spoke alloys with 225/50 in the front and 235/50 in the rears. How would 235/50 sit in the front or is it even possible on the fronts without rub

should fit okay, but better check if the tire is good,

the 245 45 17 i ran needed 8 inch wide so it was maxing out at that.
not sure about 50 series.

no 45 and 50 is the sidewall size, not the width of the tire, that would be 235, 245, 255. a 235/50 on the front would only be wider than a 225 not taller

yea, the 45 is not as tall as 50, but since it is not as tall the rim with makes a difference.

coupes are 7.5 wide in front and 8.0 wide in rear.

Taken from tireracks site on the dunlop starspecs

The 245 40 need atleast 8 inch wide
the 245 45 can do it on a 7.5

Per tire specs its not safe to run anything wider, many have run one size wider and didn't die, but I rely on my tires so I wouldn't chance it. Sames for the other way for the guys with stretched.

Theyd put a 215 on a 8.5inch wide tire which it says not to do but they still do it.

Oh I see what your getting at. Bigger sidewall gives tire more room to play width wise, ie streching/oversize, I have the same wheels, coupe 17's

well if it helps im running 24545 all around the starspecs...

but car is pretty low. lower than stock, (i had 235 45 18)'s stock. The price for a sticky tire is great, but clearance isnt that good and im not slammed

You shouldn't have any issues with rubbing.. I'm currently running 265 all around without issue.
