Offset on G35

from what i used to know before about offset is there is the negative offset and positive offset.if u want to have the deepdish look u'll need to go with negative offset and vice versa for the positive. however after i read through a lot of web site for wheels and in this forum all i see is +20, +30, or +40 which i don't understand at all what those terms mean so i'm just thinkhing that someone could explain it to me and if u can also tell me how to convert it to those plus and minus system that would be great.
another thing, i was looking around to searh for wheels on sedan and i found this set
18*7.5 +40 fr and 18*8.5 +43 rr
what would this wheel look on the sedan (will it fill the wheel well)

They should fit fine. Here is a link to some 40mm offset wheels on my G35C. Should help you somewhat

Re: Offset on G35

the positive offset is "x" mm from the center of the wheel towards the outside where the wheel bolts on.

This link should help
