Offsets w/ no rolling required?
Offsets w/ no rolling required?
I want wider tires so my stock 19" rays have to go. I also want a different ride so I'm going to get 18's. I'm driving a stock 2006 coupe 6MT.
I've decided to get the Enkei RPF1 (18x9.5 +15 and 18x10 +15). Has anyone installed these rims on a stock G coupe? I don't want to roll the fenders and I'm not going to lower it. I do have Rear Active Steer so i need to be careful about going too wide in the rear. I plan to put 255/40's up front and 275/40's in the back.
The other option would be to get the RPF1's in 18x9 +35 and 18x10 +38. But that is a totally different look. Do I need to go with that or will the +15 offset work w/o modification?
Thanks

+30's will be totally safe.
+15's I'd say you'd need to run a bit more negative camber, but if you aren't going to drop it you should be OK. Don't be surprised if you rub over some crazy bumps or something though. I have +12's and can't imagine not being rolled with them... even at stock height. A 265 or 255 in the rear would help. The front's on either should be fine.

I have 285's on a +15 10" rim and i had to do a mild roll as well, almost nothing. I would say on a 275 tire anything in the 20's offsets would be safe, you don't have to go to all the way up to 30's.
i run 18x9 and 18x10 with a +20 offset all the way around with 245/35 and 275/35 tires lowered on 350z gf210 springs and i do not rub at all and have no fender modifications done to my car. it is close, but with a little bit of negative camber you should have no problems.
