Advice on Tire Size!
So I just had some 255/45/18's put on the OEM rear wheels of an 03' coupe. I'm happy with the overall look but I'm still running the stock 225/45/18's up front and it looks pretty goofy compared to the rear.
I've been searching for a while and can't seem to find a definite answer. What size should I buy to match the front with the rear?
I read that a 235/50 will make the diameter close to the same as the rear but when I look at pics of 235/50 - the sidewall looks huge.
If the stock rear size is 245/45 and I went with a 255/45 - wouldn't it make sense to go with a 235/45 up front?

If you're trying to maintain the same diameter DIFFERENCE front to rear (which is critical to VDC), then yes, 235/45 would be better up front. You don't want to have the same diameter f/r because it will throw off the VDC system and cause it to activate. However, I'm not sure running a 255 tire on an 8" wheel is such a great idea anyway - what made you pick that for the rear?
