Want to Sell SF-Winnings, BUT how to package?

If the wheels are not bought locally. How do you package the?. I have the dimensions and weight and can figure out how much it will cost to ship the wheels themselves, but I have no idea how to package them. I went to a local place that does packaging and they wanted almost $50 a package. That is $200 just to pack them.

Any ideas?

use a thick cardboard and cut it in circle. make sure you cover upto half the sidewall of the tires and then just tape it the crap out of it.
just make sure the cardboard doesnt come off of the rims.

If your selling just wheels go to your local tire/wheel shop and ask if you can have some boxes that would otherwise be thrown away. Ive gotten wheel boxes from discount tire and a local rim shop before, no problem.

If you're shipping wheels+tires take jugger's advice:

And while you're at it give us some specs and let me know what you want to sell them for because I'M INTERESTED IN THEM! PM me.

Never would have thought of shipping it that way, but it is probably pretty safe.

Do you add cardboard to both sides or just the front side? I would do both, but if it is not necessary on the back, I guess that would make them easier to grab onto during shipment.

put THICK cardboard on both sides. you want it thick enough that when they use a
hand truck to scoop out the tires, its not going to scratch it.

this is how tirerack ships your wheel and tire combo to your door.

It is wheels and tires, so I will keep my eyes open for some thick cardboard and go buy some heavy duty tape. That sounds like the way to go.

Now I just need to figure out how much to ask and become a premier member and then put them up for sale hopefully in the next week or so.
