Since I'm still waiting to buy tires, I got the wild idea to possibly have my chromium blacks painted IP to match my car. The lip will remain polished.

What do y'all think?

Do it! I was thinking the same thing.

Was wondering... you can't remove the lip and put it back on, can you?

You would be better off leaving them pressed on. You may never get them perfectly reinstalled and then you got this wobble in the reflection as they roll.

You're going to paint the face IP? And leave the silver polish on the lip? NO don't. Leave the face along and pair the lip IP.

Not feelin that. If you have an IP coupe I think you should go for gloss black and paint the lip white. Looks amazing

I think both options are awesome..... Personally I don't think white wheels on white cars go well. I like contrast. Although the black wheels with white lip on a white car is so sexy.

As for the post about the lip above.... Do not remove the cover, you will never get it back on the same way what you could do is take all the lips off and have the metal underneath polished. The finish won't be the same as before but at least it won't dent as easily haha.

No. That's too flashy. Throws everything off balance. He has no other orange accents

What kind of material is the lip made of exactly? I've got a bit of rust I think but I don't want to use the wrong product and mess the rims up. Anybody remove rust from these XXR 526s yet?
