wouldn't you want a 245/40 in the front and a 275/35 in the rear to keep the tires about the same size?

275/35 is 26.58" in diameter.245/40 is 26.72" a little bigger than the rear but not by much.it can be done.
most guys like to have the rears bigger than the front.

Re: 8.5 wide and 10 inch wide in rear?

The stock 17 and 18" sizes on the coupe have a stagger front to rear. The fronts have a smaller outer diameter than the rears. 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear, maintains that stagger. You would not want to do as ImportTuner suggests, and keep the OD of the tires the same front to rear.

The 10" wide rear should be fine, as long as the offset is not extreme.

would this pose any problems.... it looks like on tirerack.com (the place i think im going to buy me wheels/tires from (professor sp1 ssr's and yokohoma es100s) and they only have (on their site) 10 inch and 8.5.... would this be a problem? I was gonna get 9.5

2004 Black on Black g coupe 6spd.... aluminum pedals, clear corners, z tube, and pop charger. soon to have 19" volk gt-c's and PIAA xtreme whites in the clearance and corners
