why does some g's come with stock 17"s and some come with stock 18"s? i have an 04 coupe and i have 18"s and even the sticker behind the door say the stock wheels are 18"s

 

I believe the base model comes with 17" wheels, that's why is says that. Any upgrades or higher price models you purchase the 18" wheels are part of that.

All 03-04 6MT's came with 18's (I think this is to clear the Brembos). The automatics were either 17's or 18's like Gary said.

 

at first i only thought my car came with 17's orignally because it doesn't have brembos. but then i noticed that the wheels were 18s, so i checked the sticker, and it says that it came with 18s from the factory..... so i guess thats all there is to it huh?

 

the sports package comes with the 18s on the 04 and older and the 17s come on the 04 and older without the sports package... the 05s + come with 18s without sports package and the 19s come on the 05+ with sports package.

 

Then you must either have the 6MT model or an auto equipped with the sports pack.

 

I seem to have an odd combo 05 AT that has premium and sports pack except for the NAV and the 18's, don't know what happened there.

is there a big price differenct between the g that come with the 17's vs the 18s? i see folks online trying to sell their gs that came with the 17s for the same price as the more common gs that came with 18s. even the folks with the cloth seats trying to sell it as if it has leather not knowing that they have the base of all bases for a g. freaking crazy

Does your steering wheel have orange stitching on it? If yes, then you indeed have the sports package, which always comes with 19's. If you've got orange stitched wheel with 18's that means the owner before you prob sold their 19's to get some $$$.

 

No orange stitch on wheel but I have everything else that comes in the Sports pack except for the larger wheels and suspension, I have 17's with all the exterior sport pack options. The car also has all of the premium pack except for the NAV. This is why it is such an odd combo, and the car came like this new, I verified it with the dealer that sold it. It must have been ordered this way for some reason . Plus it's AB so that makes it even more uncommon.

lol...I define the "sport" in sport pack to be wheels and suspension. Isn't all that's left the mud flaps and rear spoiler? I'm pretty sure those can be added as lone options on any car. No orange wheel = no sport package.

 

Oh yes I would agree that the obvious main parts of the 'sports' pack is the suspension and wheels but I still thought it was a bit odd to have the other parts of the sports package, that's all.

It depends where you are from as well, different packages in the U.S. vs Canada.

And.. I'm sorry, but I did laugh out loud about the post where you have the sport package, but nothing that comes with the sport package. (minus the mudflaps, of course)

some of you really need to practice some tact, not all of us eat, breath and sleep G35. I have only owned the car for less than 2 months and have only what I read or I am told by the dealer to go by, the infiniti dealer said it had the sports body pack (I have the wing also). To me the term package means just that, it's a package and not an individual option. This is why I thought it was a little odd that I only have part of the sports package.

I see a fairly poor attitude here over-all and some of you enthusiasts take yourselves a bit too serious , the idea here is supposed to be a public forum where fellow G owners are made to feel welcome and not punted away or laughed at because they don't know everything there is to know about the car. You were all G35 ignorant at some point and had to learn it so try to be a bit more forgiving to those that are interested in learning about the car, which is why most of us are here.
