new front tires, opinions?

hey guys, my front tires are pretty much bald and needless to say its time for new ones. i saw these http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...&fcb=&sw=false online and thought they looked pretty good and had some decent reviews, wondering if anybody here has experience with them? $135 a tire is pretty much my budget, maybe a little wiggle room.

anybody have any better ideas or comments? thanks in advance

what kind of tire are you looking for? summer tires? all seasons? the one you posted is a all season so i'd recommend the falken 912s its a great budget tire.

Kuhmo SPT's are nice but not in your price range, most everything isn't really.

You don't want some of the tires the members above have suggested since they're for the most part entry level tires. Check out www.tirerack.com, they offer good tires at a reasonable price. Remember...."Your life may depend on what's between you and the road!" Whatever you buy should have a UTOG rating of at least 230 AA A for wear and reliability, that's 30K miles of safe driving!

Well that's going to f*cking suck since the tires that the dealer put on the car are Kuhmo SPT's.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....&autoModel=G35 Coupe&autoModClar=Sport-Tuned Suspension

Read the Tire Rack reviews and click the TEST tab for a video comparison review by Tire Rack themselves. They perform favorably.

You're pushing expensive tires to someone with absolutely NO tire budget.

And no, 230 wear rating WILL NOT give you 30k miles on summer tires.

i went to costco today and they were selling the michellin pilots at $207 each. from what i understand thats a pretty good deal. if they are actually substantially better than other tires out there i could put the money together for em.

Watch the types you are mixing together. This time of year/weather you could give the car a split personality front/rear my having two different tires on the car.

Dont read too much into tire brands. If you are on a budget, I would feel very comfortable reccommending General, Falken, Kuhmo or Nexen as daily driver tires. They perform well and are priced low.

Mixing brands isn't going to harm anything for daily driving purposes.

I have the Continental DWS. They have a 540 treadwear rating. I've had them for a year now. I will get them again.
