2006 G Coupe with 20" TSW Nurburgrings

So this is one of my first posts, so hey everyone. I searched and saw a ton of pic requests for TSW Nurburgrings on a G Coupe. I was tired of paying $1100/set for 19" Toyo T1Rs for the 19" Infiniti Rays. My tires were bald, so I decided to upgrade and get 20s (cheaper tires bc they are more common). I considered getting something with a big lip, but they are SO heavy (30-40lbs unless you want to spend a TON of money for HRE's or something). Not the Nurburgrings, even at 20 x 10.5 they only weigh like 21 or 22 pounds/wheel (which is very comparable to the G35 Rays Wheels).

I can't tell you how much of a difference it made for the car. Handles so much better, grips better, and looks sick. They did an offset they had never done before and it ended up working out beautifully, the wheels line up perfectly with the fenders. The gray accents on the inside of the spokes/lip of the wheel are almost the same color as the car when the light hits right.

I thought the Rays looked great, but seeing pictures of how it looked before makes me feel like its a crime to not have 20s on this car! G's are HUGE, in fact, my 06 coupe is almost the same length as my 4Runner was!.

So I ended up with 20 x 10.5 in the rear, I think 20 x 10 or 9.5 up front. Tires are Pirelli P-Zero Nero 275/35/20 in the rear, 255/35/20 up front (same tires that come on AMG Mercedes from the factory). I'm very pleased with the tires so far, the car is SO much more quiet (and we all know road noise isn't the G's forte) $2700 out the door, and ill save $300 bucks everytime I buy tires, and the car all of a sudden turns alot more heads, but isn't too flashy.

Cliffnotes: I LOVE the wheels. Anyone that has considered rims a flashy, unnecessary cosmetic option should seriously reconsider....they made my car feel brand new again. I think they are the perfect compromise between looks, quality, performance and price.

If you don't want to lower your G, ABSOLUTELY go with this tire size. The 275/35 gives it just enough tire to fill in the wheelgap, but I think 30 series tires would have looked weird.

lol^ +1

why do those look so much larger than 20? must be an illusion since the spokes run to the edge of the wheel

u need to lower that bronco.
+ just cause amg runs those tires, doesnt mean theyre a perfect match...
perfect match wouldve been 245/35 285/30 with perfect sidewall, radius, and revs permile...
AMG cars are mostly RWD, and put down series power, thats why they prefer to run slightly more sidewall on the rear for traction.

Rims are nice, but drop will make them stand out more.

More Pics

And the wide angle lens really exaggerates features so the gap will look huge on on a few of those

The first picture was when it had literally just come off of the rack, the springs needed a minute to settle. I was worried when I first saw it but it looks much better now.

And I didn't mean I got the same tire size as an AMG, I got the same brand/model tires that come on AMG's from the factory. I mentioned this to illustrate the difference in price between 19 and 20 inch tires. For $300 less than 19 inch tires, you can get 20 inch tires that are of a very high quality (good enough that Mercedes puts them on their cars from the factory)

They put the best tire size for what I wanted, I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT want to and still dont want to lower the car. But I also didn't want a MASSIVE wheelgap so I compromised.

I haven't been on message boards in a while, now I remember why, everyone just hates on everything and takes everything you say literally.

Looks really sharp! I'm partial to rims without lips, as well.

Thinking they'll show off a BBK nicely too.
