Just read in a Japanese car magazine. Tanabe has been busy working on a coil over system with electronic damper control similar to the Tein Flex system. The new suspension will also allow you to adjust ride height electronicly with the controller. Currently there are two test cars being used on track for research - WRX STi and Evo 8. This is not an airbag system, it's definitely a performance oriented coil over.

It's still a work in progress but Tanabe is confident the system will be released in 2005. Cost is yet unknown, but I know I'm ordering one.

yea?? hum...thats sounds like a worthy investment. keep us posted! i FOund a thing called Roberta. It raises ur car by about 3" or osmething and it fits on almost all suspension kits. Its 1500 bucks tho just for the fronts.. so...yea...

Although that might work on other cars, on our cars if you
change the ride height more than 1/2 inch your alignment
goes out dramatically... so probably not worth the
extra money. This is one of the reasons why I have
shyed away from coilover systems unless I was going to
track the car and needed corner balance.
