2005 19" OEM Rays with Brembos
2005 19" OEM Rays with Brembos
Just slapped these on my coupe, they look very good with Brembos IMO. There is no clearance problem.
The new rims weights between 19-20lbs each in 19"X8" & 19X8.5" size. That is very light even on the Rays Engineering spectrum. These are Rays Engineering forged 19" rims. 2005 Coupes should have came with Brembos stock, these rims are made for Brembos in mind.

or maybe because of the OG Racing Hart Cp-035's? I know the split five spoke evolved around Racing hart's time. then the designer's went creative!! i think the oem rays should've had the spokes come out a little from the middle instead of being flat.
Thanks for the compliments guys. I got them from someone who bought a 05 and upgraded to aftermarket 19". I am not sure about the price yet. I still have my stock 18" around in the garage as spares.
Randy, I really like the PIAA Rossa rims as well. I inquired about them on several occassions but then a PIAA rep told me these wheels are heavy and not really built for serious track use.
I like the styling though.

I noticed the handling of the car is noticeably sharper on turn in and there is less roll and bounce backs. Pure acceleration wise honestly I don't feel too much difference, mostly because the stock Bridgestones on the 19" likely compensated for most of the weight saving on the wheels.
Ride comfort actually increased believe it or not, the car rides smoother and quieter on normal road surface, but more noisy on uneven surface. I have to give the dry grip to the Pilot Sports, but wet grip wise the Bridgestones are better.

I bought the 19" from a friend who just got a set of aftermarket wheels. My 18" are actually for sale at the present time even though I've been lazy to post pictures. I think $750 plus shipping for the stock 18". (prefer SoCal pick up) They have around 15k on them, no curb rash. One spoke on the front driver side was repaired by the dealership for a minor scratch. (not scrape) Wheels are in very good condition, normal wear and tear, some scratch around the lugs.
