Question About Polishing Lips
So I have decided I was to polish the lips on my Axis Shines, I know the typical process.
My main question is if the lips on my Shines are able to be polished.
Are they aluminum or anodized?

As far as I know, Axis clear coats their lips. You're going to have to burn through the clear before you get anywhere with them. Best bet is the same style of polish that you'd used on your paint. If not, take them to a wheel shop and have them polish the lips then you can maintain them from there on.
even polishing it lightly may clean up some road grime/oxidation and make it shine more without going through the clear coat. do it by hand lightly though.

Thank you for your useless post, you're very helpful.
As I said before, it's a clear coat, treat it the same as you would your paint and take a multistep polish to it. Don't go too aggressive or you'll be getting yourself into more work than you want to do.

I was just kidding man. On my polished lips used a paint striper to take of the clear coat, not sure what it was something my dad uses at his shop. It was good because I needed to re-spray the silver color and then just clear everything. It could work if you need to redo your rims all together. Just like new now.
Just an idea if your gonna go through the trouble.
