New wheels/tires

Just got HELO 866 20's for my 35 coupe. Anyways the shop I have them at first said they would not clear the calipers (which is understandable). So I bought 1/4'' spacers which they claim would have been more than enough room. Now the shop is telling me there are not enough threads to tighten down the lugs. Then following up saying their 'tire machine' cannot mount 20s. The shop is a joke so I am wondering if this is possible to not have enough threads because of 1/4''?? I have done all the work on this car myself and havent been able to check the fitment myself because I figured a TIRE and AUTO shop would have no problem.

Anyways picking my car up at 4 today...just wondering if someone can give me some insight about this and let me know if basically this shop is full of it and I should take it elsewhere. Or what my options are is the threads for the lugs are really the issue. Although 1/4'' i really cant imagin. I know there are most likely posts about this just didnt have the time to search before I am picking the car up.

They are correct in stating that you wont have enought threads on your wheel studs to bolt the wheels on. That is something that they should have known ahead of time. You will need to get longer wheel studs if you plan to run those spacers.
