time to replace my factory 17" tires...

Instead of just replacing my 215 55 17 tires on my factory wheels, I decided to check out inexpensive wheels offered through Costco. I think their Velox Apex wheels look nice enough.... They're selling the 17" set for $490, and the 18" set for $530.

Given that I'm not going to modify the stock suspension on my 2004 sedan, would you suggest going with the 17" or the 18" wheel? Also, which tire size(s) and model(s) would you recommend for the wheels?

Thanks.

IMO getting new wheels won't look as good unless you lower your car.

But see that you're not going to lower it, I would go for 18 in wheels staggered with offset 20-30.

Tires size I would run (whatever is cheapest)

225/40/18
245/40/18

or

225/45/18
245/45/18

or

225/45/18
245/40/18
