Tire control arms sunddenly breaking?

Before I bought my g sedan I had my mechanic to a pre-buy inspection to check for fatal flaws. He didn't find any, but he did say the bearings or ball joints on the tire control arms were about worn out. I'm starting feel this wobble when I'm driving and in my old car I had one of the tire control arms break without warning. Has that ever happened to anyone? Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

I have never heard of the control arms snapping, but I would replace the bearings when you have the chance. It's not safe to drive with the symptoms you are describing.

I'm planning on doing it tomorrow. I'm just afraid they'll break before I get to my mechanic.
