Proper way to roll fenders

Back in my days, we use to get a baseball bat and wedge it between the wheels to roll the rear fender. Do people use this technique to roll you own fenders at home, or do they just take it to the shop now days?

Yup...baseball bat works great. The other way is to cut them, but then you will have to paint the edge with touch up paint, so they don't rust.

Say, `You have me wondering here. I was getting 275/40's for the rear....Am I gonna have to roll the fenders? I have been seeing on the forum, that the wheels wells can take big rubber no problem. What size boots you got there, bud?

Re: Proper way to roll fenders

I think 275's will be fine, assuming the offsets are right.

The reason I asked about rolling the fenders cause I wanted to put 19x10.5 in the rears. Both shop asked me if I was willing to roll the fenders. I basically told them as long as it doesnt stick out and the rims where able to tuck, I was okay with it.

probably an old thread, but I just bought a set of gold SF Challenges for my 350z, and they are 19 x 10.5 in the rear. I also bought a set of tein s-tech's from my bud that he was going to put on his G35 but now has decided to sell it. Two questions:

1) Will the G35 springs work no problem
2) Will I have to roll the fenders?

Thanks you guys.

You will probably have to roll the rears if you dont want them to rub at all. I have 275/35/19 on the GT-S wheels and Im also lowered on S-Techs and they rub on bumps/dips in the road. I have a fairly aggressive offset of +18... I dont know if the SF Challenges offset is aggressive enough for it to rub alot.

Takes about an hour to have both sides done so it depends on the shops rate
