245/45/19 instead of 245/40/19 in rear ok?

Hi sorry if this sounds like a really dumb question but I can't seem to find anywhere if putting 245/45/19 tires on the back of my 2007 g35 coupe is okay. The stock ones are 245/40/19 so I was just wondering if it will be okay to put a thicker side wall because I found a good set of used ones. My car is lowered an inch and half so will there be any rubbing issues or anything? Thanks in advance.

245/45/19 is a very tall tire. I would not put those on a coupe, you could rub and it'll increase brake wear.

They came off of a g37 coupe. Is there that much difference between the two cars that they won't work?

Only because I found someone selling a used pair for $150 with decent tread. I wanna make sure they would be ok first though.

It should be fine. The car might ride a tad nicer as well.

I ran that set up for some time and it is within the the limits to not set off the vds
I found it to look better and fill the wheel well better and no problems rubbing..

Best to run the correct size rather than mess up the VDC and have rubbing issues. 245/40-19 better size.
