Help Finding new Lips for Work Wheels

I recently picked up a set of 19" Work VS-XX's on my local craigslist. Although I got them for a steal, they aren't the exact specs I wish they were. The fronts have 2.5 inch lip and the rears have a 3.0inch lip. I was hoping to put the 3 inch lip on the fronts and buy (2) maybe 5 inch lips for the rear, but I'm having trouble finding them online. I know you can buy them from Work for I think $350, but has anyone had experience with the lips from VMRwheels.com? They're cheaper so i wonder if the quality is truly lacking.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think you mean VRwheels right? VMR is a wheel brand, also one of out vendors here on the site.

VR wheels lips are pretty nice quality, you won't have any issues.

Have you built wheels before? If you haven't make sure you know what the specs will be once the relip is done, if not you could relip them and have them not fit... then be out a fair bit of money and time.

Yes I meant VRwheels. Sorry for that confusion!
That's good to hear that the quality is not in question.

I haven't built wheels before, I'm a newbie to 3-piece wheels. I'm not too worried about the size as they I've run much more aggressive setups. the wheel is 19x9 including a 3 inch lip(the visible side of the lip is 3 inches). So if I was to relip them to 5inch lips, would they be 19x11? sorry if that is completely wrong..

Haven't had enough coffee yet to help you with your math, but I can definitely recommend VRwheels. Recently picked up a set that they had rebarrelled and am extremely happy with them. Can't see buying parts or getting work done by anyone else.

Stole the words out of my mouth haha. We do not sell any VS-XX lips or barrels.

VR/RB Wheels sells them, and I believe you could probably get some from Wheelflip as well.

The widths are right, but keep in mind, doing this will ALSO reduce the offset by 24mm

so if they are currently 19x9 +25 they will now be 19x11 +1

Okay thank you and yes that confirms what I thought. The change in offset WOULD be fine, but I have to also account for an adapter since the wheels are 5x112.. and the only adapters I've been able to find are 1.25". I use to run 1" adapters with my 7 series wheels. I'll have to do some math

By the way.. Your car is sick and being a fan of most sedans, but never the G35 sedans your car truly changed my opinion on them. Love it man!

haha thanks dude!

The smallest I have seen adapters is 20mm, if you need a link on who can make those I can hook that up. If you want to avoid the use of spacers (keep offset true) you can run wobble nuts. They're basically a washered lug nut that allows some play as long as the lug holes are large enough.

Don't forget, redrilling is another option to change the bolt pattern (assuming offset is ideal).

Redrilling is fairly inexpensive, at least around Southern California. Probably about $100 for all four down here.

Think VR does it but it's outsourced and is $140? I think wheelflip does it in house and it's a little cheaper than that.

Wheelflip does not do redrilling in house.
