New Tires = Beat Up Lips

So I took my '05 Sedan with factory 18s on it to a reputable local shop for new tires and an alignment. While there, we were discussing the alignment and I just gave the car a once over. Now back at my office, I noticed that there are quite a few scratches and gouges on the outer-face of the lip.

I've called the shop and they want me to come back down to discuss with the boss. I'm assuming they 'might' give me a discount off the tires, but really I'd just like my lips to be as before (flawless except for the small rash).

Where my legs are not 100% under me with an argument is that one wheel has about 3 inches of light rash right on the edge and every wheel has a couple small chips around the lug nut wells.

What should I expect them to do? What's reasonable?

I had the same problem a few months ago.
I didn't see the scratches until I got back hometoo.
I drove back to the shop and showed him the marks they left.
I got a few estimates for wheel repair and they paid me cash for the repair.
Some shops have a wheel guy they deal with cause it's not uncommon for them to scratch wheels up.
You can get quotes online from mobile wheel repair places if u send them pics of the scratches.

I have some photos thar I will post as soon as I get back to my PC. I just left the shop and the owner kept trying to blame it on me saying "I just knew you were going to call because 'you people' are picky with your wheels.". He kept denying that they had any fault in this at all. However, they decided, completely on their own, to cut me a check for $1,000 and then told me to leave.

At least that should cover repairing the wheels.

Not a typo. I had already paid him for the tires, mounting/balancing, and an alignment.

Pictures as promised. This damage spans all four wheels and most goes through the the black layer or beyond.

Sorry if for the crappy cell phone pics.

Not exactly. I had already paid them for the services and tires so the $1,000 basically was a full refund plus a little extra. I got a verbal quote to repair my wheels and it will be approximately $200 per wheel.
