What wheel color for LP sedan?
What wheel color for LP sedan?
I've picked up some g37 coupe 19" sport wheels and they're scuffed up a bit and paint chipped on one. I found a shop that will sandblast my wheels for 80$ total( South bay area, ca). They said they can powdercoat it with cardinal paint colors also, and so sandblasting+powdercoat would be 200$.
My bit is that I wanted to go light gunmetal, or dark silver. But I don't know how that would look on an LP sedan. Since the colors are pretty close, I don't know how it would look. Anyone got photos? I've been trolling the forums all over to see what it looks like in contrast, but no luck.
OH, btw, i picked up a used 2008 6mt sedan last week with 38.6k miles. I haven't posted about it yet.

Thats cheap for powdercoating and sandblast....hope thats good quality lol.. but to answer your question, I believe the only colors that look good on that color would be silver or gunmetal.
Well I think it'll cost more for the metal colors+ clearcoat.
But yeah, i'm debating on going back to straight silver, or a darker silver. I like gunmetal, but i'd want to see what it looks like on another LP sedan first.

So my wheels are at the shop to get sandblasted.
Anyone have suggestions? I'm still trying to think of what to do with the wheels. I was wondering if I it's okay to plastidip bare aluminum and then a couple coats of paint and a couple coats of clear coat would get it looking the way i want it to(close to stock color)
