Getting new tires and need suggestions
I just bought a G35 this past weekend and it needs 3 new tires, the rear passenger side has a mostly new Potenza R760 Sport. I was thinking about getting Bridgestone Potenza R760 Sport for the rear on the other side to match it. In the front I was thinking about getting Bridgestone Potenza R970 AS Pole Position. Anyone have an experience with these two types of tires? Good or bad please let me know what you liked and what you didn't. Also if you've had bad experience with these tires, what other tires can you recommend?
I've had a handful of customers order both of those tires and they seem alright. Were you looking for a all-season tire?
Personally I'd recommend having the same tires front and rear though.

The dilemma I have is that I have 3 bald tires and 1 pretty much new Potenza RE760 Sport. I still have the stock wheels so fronts are 225/40/19 and rears are 245/40/19. The Potenza RE760's don't come in 225/40/19. Wish they did so I could have a matching set. Basically what I'm saying is I don't wanna waste a perfectly good tire. Is there any disadvantages having different front and rear tires?

Are you planning on driving in the cold/rain? having all-seasons up front and summers on rear may make for wonky handling in the cold/rain. Might be somewhat dangerous, even with vdc.
In general you want the grippier tires in the rear, so the car continues to have understeer tendency, instead of oversteer.
No experience personally with those tires. Bridgestones were always too expensive for me; i never got past the price tag. You could probably save a lot more money with a different tire/brand. Go poke around on tire rack.

Considering the difference in compound, design, tread depth, etc that's not the best combination to have. They are both great tires.....when used in a matched set front/rear. It's best to sell the one existing you have and start with a fresh matched set of something else.
