1 Different brand/tread tire on front

Hello. I bought a 6mt 2006 g35 coupe back in April. When I first got the car, it was fitted with 4 accelera phi tires, 19 inches.

After driving for few months in brooklyn, ny, my front left, driver side tire exploded after going over a pretty deep hope, forgot the correct word for it.
anyways, I went to a tire shop, and they didnt have the same brand, so I thought it was ok to get a different brand, different tread tire. The cheapest one they had was Nankang Ultra Sport NS-II. So far, I haven't noticed anything wrong while driving, everything is smooth. even while driving 80 mph in the highway. Haven't really gone any faster than that.

But suddenly a question popped up, and after doing some googling, seems like the general consensus is a big no no for my kind of situtation.

Is it ok for just normal driving or am i putting my self at a risk by having a different tread tire in the front?

You should try and get all four to match. While for everyday driving it might be okay (people do this all the time) it's not recommended. The handling characteristics will be different between different tire brands and models, so if you need to make a quick decision while driving your car may become unpredictable.

At least have the same kind on both the front wheels. I have different tires in front then I have in the back so does my moms 350z. Never had any issues

I'd say this is the most common setup when people are running different tires on their car. I think for everyday driving you could get by but like I mentioned, running the same front and rear would be ideal.
