Powder Coating Wheels...Opinions?

Thinking about getting my M45 wheels powdercoated. Just looking for some input on options/colors?

Anyone else who has done this, please share your experience and pros/cons. Considering plasti-dip also.

I kind of want to just get them refinished (minor scuffs and scratches) to the original factory color.

Thanks!

Don't plastidip. It looks like **** and is the cheap way out.

Powder is tough as hell and looks great.

Considered a bronze?

You can always plastidip just to see if you like the color, if you don't like it then take it off. There's no going back if you powdercoat them so you better be happy with the color if you go that route. Mine have been plastidipped for almost a year now (11 months).

As DKano stated you should try the plastidip first to see if you like the color.

Thanks for all the info, how easy is it to remove the plasti-dip? Can I get it at AutoZone?

The thicker you put the plastidip on the easier it will come off, a microfiber towel will help it come off easy if its on thin & rips alot. You can get it at home improvement stores.

Its pretty easy to remove. If you have trouble taking it off I found that wheel cleaners works magic. If there's a Home Depot near you they sell it there, not sure about AutoZone.

+1 on the powdercoating.

like i posted to another member just now, the powdercoating is strong and durable.

I powdercoated my rims several years ago and they still look new.
