For all you guys that know...

I'm about to purchase some coupe wheels for my 03 sedan, I know the offset
of the coupe wheels are 30 and my sedan 6 spoke wheels are 38 according
to my research, please correct me if I'm wrong. I also heard there might be a
rubbing issue but I thought of putting on 235/45/18 tires as I'm only buying
the wheels, but my dealer tells me my sedan can only take 35 to 40 offset
on the sedan, so was wondering if there are any issues with handling, looks,
rubbing with this set up, I know this has been discussed before but I'm just
not sure...help guys...

According to the owners manuel both sedan 17's are 45mm offset, you sure about the 38mm offset for the non sport rim?

Sounds like your dealer is taking a safe road in saying what offset the sedan should use, makes sense that they would not have experiance or knowledge in offset's beyond that.

Check out this thread for a discussion on coupe 18's on the sedan.

Thanks for the link, I do not have too much faith in what the dealer tells
me. 45 offset to a 30 sounds like a lot but if I'm running a 235 or 225 tire
all around might be alright, at the same time I do not want my car to look off
in any way, so in the perfect world would be a dealer popping on some
front wheels from a coupe and putting them on one side of my car to look see but the chances of that happenning are very slim and the one guy I know with a coupe just changed vehicles on his lease so.....
