Holy crap with rims price differences!!

So im prob gettin the stern st-2 rims for my g, 19s, staggered setup, etc etc...I found some on ebay and emailed them...need for speed motors out in CA..got a price on rims/tires..not mounted and balanced..but shipped w/ insurance, $2229..not too bad..just gotta get them mounted/balanced around here(north nj), prob gonna cost like $15 a tire or so....right down the road from me there is a distributor of these wheels, i called them and get a price..same tires..same rims..same sizes and everything, mounted balanced and installed...now this shocked me..$3350...are they insane? what the heck makes up for the $1000 difference?

Brick and mortar has more overhead maybe? Does the Need for Speed Motors have a physical shop?

Try Paul at Eastern. They are located in Queens and he is a G35 owner & enthusuiast. He is also a GSQUAD sponsor!! You can tell him what rims you're looking for and he can get them have tires mounted and have everything ready for you to slap them on your car! And yes, if you have a coupe, you can fit 4 wheels/tires inside!

No sweat! Paul is a really nice guy and stands behind everything he sells! Good thing he doesn't sell beds! Anyway, he should be able to hook ya up with a really good price on any wheel you may want. I just bought my RH Pro J8's in SBC from him and I believe Afropuff from Jersey bought some J8's as well! Totally hooked me up!

I went to a brick and mortar shop, and they quoted me the a price for all 4 rims (rims only) as the price I paid on-line which included 4 Michelin Pilot Sport All/Season tires. Brick and Mortor shop told me because the rims are special order from japan, I have to pay air-freight. So they wanted $700 for shipping. They said it didn't matter if it was shipped to my house, or I picked up at the store, because it would still arrive at the airport.

i always think its so funny that when you go to a local shop they feed you every line of BS they can think of..what they dont know is that my family was in the auto parts business for 25 years so i have a pretty good idea on how things work and whanot. But like i said b4, if i can get a better deal online and just have them mounted/balanced localy..thats what im doin..i dont care.
