Professional wheel repair= OEM quality?

Hey everyone,

The detailing shop messed up on one of my wheels the other day. They used something that ate through the paint on my 06 Z OEM wheels. They offered to repair the wheels on their cost.

I wanted to get all four wheels painted a little darker than the OEM hyper silver finish. What do you guys think?

I was curious if professional wheel repair shops can paint the rims to match the quality from the factory.. I know i've used duplicolor wheel paint on the wheels for my accord and it was not durable and it was dull.
Will the pro wheel shops paint job be as good as OEM? Also, is there a difference in quality of mobile wheel repair compared to actual shops?

I'd appreciate if anyone with experience can chime in

I work with dealers all the time and they have mobile guys that touch up the rashed up wheels. Not sure about quality but they can do a damn good job color matching.

You only have 7 posts, if we had more information about you and your G giving you a correct answer would be easier. Here in SoCal I have the best wheel repair shop on the planet. If I knew you lived here I'd give you there name and number. My best advice at this point would be to have you talk to several tire/wheel shop asking them for a qualified wheel repair shop. There are many shops that repair wheels across our country, finding a good one takes research!
