Non Staggered Setup, VDC issue?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to get a non staggered setup to be able to rotate tires. The G35 will just be a daily driver and nothing more. I currently have the 19 inch ray forged rims

Size: 19x8.0
Offset: +30mm
Weight: 19 lbs
Tire: 225/40-19

Rear
Size: 19x8.5
Offset: +33mm
Weight: 21 lbs
Tire: 245/40-19

I just got a set of rims with these specs,
Front & Rear
WHEELS SIZE: 19X8.5
BOLT PATTERN: 5X114.3
OFFSET: 35
HUB BORE: 73.1MM
WHEELS LIP SIZE: 2 INCH

I want to buy tires for all 4 corners
225-40-19

Will these tire setup affect the VDC and make it go crazy?

I tried to figure out the tire calculator, but still getting confused about the 3% rule

Thanks guys in advance

The 3% rule is simple. Keep the rolling diameter between the front and rear tires lass than 3% of each other and the VDC will be happy. So, since you suggested all the same size tires you'll be fine. However, at +35 your wheels are going to be very sunken in and 225's all around are pretty skinny for the G so I would recommend 245/40/19 all around for more tread to be planted on the ground.

I'm certainly no magician but it looks okay- what I'd be more concerned about generally would be having a larger (taller) setup on the front than the back. It's the diameter (I believe) that throws the VDC- if it gets outside of certain parameters.

You'd have some concern if you were going to be taller in the front than the rear... I know from experience this causes problems.

I was just typing the same thing- for a coupe... Isn't it a bit more friendly to a Sedan or are the offsets similar?

Thanks guys for the reply. Will the 245 40 19 in the front rub at all with stock fenders, or would it have to be rolled? Also when I get the 245 40 19 setup, would I need to remove a pin in the fronts to rotate tires; or is that only for the stock wheels.

Thanks again for helping me out with my newb questions

225/40-19 and 245/40-19 shouldn't cause any issues.

I run 245/40r18 tire on 18x9,5 +15 wheels and I don't have any issue with vdc and abs

don't do 225s bro, the front pushes hard as is. Steering is heavier with 245 but it won't push as much

I rolled non-staggered on M45 wheels 245 40 19 for several years with spacers. Never a problem with VDC and even rotated them regularly.

Thanks everyone for all the responses. I recently lowered my car with G35 eibach sportlines. Will having 245 40 19 rub my front fenders with 19x8.5 , with an offset 35?
